Nobody use InfiniBand with mainframe for attaching DASD.
Reason: mainframe does not use InfiniBand for disk connection.
Side notes:
1. Mainframes, since z10, do use Infiniband (z9 also, retrofitted).
Optical Infiniband channels (5 types, partially incompatible) are used
as sysplex links. Copper Infiniband are used for communication between
BOOK and I/O Cage or I/O Drawer (does not apply to PCIe drawers).
2. Infiniband can be used for disk connection, but it's not used in
mainframe world. It's IMHO generally uncommon.
