They are based on consecutive initial letters starting with Ubuntu 6.06
LTS (Dapper Drake). It's a good thing John provided the Wikipedia link,
because the cross-reference between names and numbers is not easy to
find on the Ubuntu web site.

Yeah. If they were at least alphabetical ("Ardent Aardvark", followed by "Bumbly Bee", etc.),
there'd be some small information, but "cute" and "useful" aren't the same...
