Victor, You do not need to calculate XVVOLCNT because the rmm extract process that creates X records has already done that for you. Scratch volumes that have never been used have no xxMDMVID value, all others, including those converted to rmm by EDGCNVT and those recorded by rmm or manually added via rmm subcommands should have a value. The value is unique for each volume set (both single volume and multi-volume)
What is it you are really trying to do? The rexx reports REPORT11 provides a report of all multi-volume multi-file sets.
