Hi Folks,

Happy to announce that CBT Tape Version 484 has been cut, and all the stuff from the Updates page of www.cbttape.org was moved to the CBT page. I think I've updated the www.cbttape.org website with all the 484 stuff as opposed to the 483 stuff. I'm always open to people pointing out if I forgot to do something. Appreciate your constructive suggestions and so forth.

One thing that probably not too many people know about. There is a 3390-2 pack which was backed up by both FDR and DFDSS (and tersed) which is available to be downloaded at the www.cbttape.org site. Besides containing all the CBT Tape files for Version 484, the IPL text of that pack contains ZZSA from Jan Jaeger, which you can IPL and use to look at or fix, anything on your system without IPL-ing MVS. ZZSA is also on the CBT Tape, in two files, File 437 and File 538.

We make updates to the CBT Tape versions maybe 2 or 3 times a year nowadays. The reason we do so few of them, is that the newest files are on the Updates page of the website, which you should always check, before you look at the CBT page of the website. Since the Updates page has the newest stuff and it is easily accessible, we don't have to be always rolling the newest stuff into a new CBT Tape version very often, as Arnie used to do, when the only way you could get any of the newest stuff was on a tape. When Arnie had to put all of it on the tape, he was extremely dedicated in constantly making new versions, perhaps averaging 15 versions a year. Now we can do two or three new versions, and accomplish the same thing. Hooray for technology.

All the best of everything to all of you. Use everything in good health and happiness.

Sincerely, Sam
