Although not the FM, the panel definitions (ex DGTSCDC2) suggests it is any 
valid member name as it has the following:

VER (&FCDCDCN,NAME,MSG=DGTUC013)

BTW, the indicated message is

DGTUC013   'INVALID CONSTRUCT NAME'   .HELP= DGTMUC13  .ALARM= YES    
'Must be 1 to 8 alphamerics starting with alphabetic, $, @, *, #, or %
