A couple of things to check 1) At the time of the error, were there any messagse in SYSLOG? maybe catalog messages? 2) Can you display the VSAM dataset in 3.4? Can you do a LISTC and is it good - no error messages? 3) In CICS are there any additional DFH messages in the CICS logs?
