Lizette and Elardus, thanks for your replies and I'm sorry for wasting your time. Clearly, from the doc and the results I'm getting, what I'm trying to do will not work. I can't say why I thought it was working 6 months ago; perhaps in a parallel universe it did.
The intention was to allocate the SYSLOG, or OPERLOG from z/OS 1.13 on, and use SDSB to read the lines. This works for SYSLOG. I used Bing with SDSF REXX ISFLOG OPERLOG as well as searching the latest proceedings in Share.org Lizette > -----Original Message----- > From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf > Of Lizette Koehler > Sent: Monday, September 03, 2012 6:47 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: SDSF REXX and OPERLOG > > Steve, > > If you review the presentation I think you will see the answer.
