I've got some nice directions on how to acquire and replace the certificate (which I finally wrote down the last time thru) but it all starts with logon to ShopzSeries. Ugh. Second sign on is failing and there is nothing on the web page to reset the password. I've called all numbers on three IBM websites for support , which have all given me more phone numbers or went to a recording. Finally opened a PMR but have yet to hear from them.
If IBM is attempting to make a profit selling software via ShopzSeries, why is it so hard to logon and order something? Trouble is, I do this only once and year and forget the steps. First off, consult SMP/E User's Guide SA22-7773-xx . There's a discussion about the steps to take. Problem is, I found out (once again) that the directions for replacing an existing cert are not clear. There's no actual 'certificate replace' function. You have to delete the old certificate first, then add back the new one. As I recall (shoulda taken notes), deleting the old certificate makes something else disappear that has to be redefined manually; the book implies that no other steps are required. Anyhow, it's not trivial for a once-a-year procedure. . . RACF won't import it. I've had success with a lrecl of 4096, recfm=vb.
