The "G. Fogg" portion of this REXX routine is a conversion from PL/I to REXX, perhaps at several removes, of one of a set of generic PL/I procedures---All of therm 1) initialize a pointer to a pointer with x'00000010' and 2) chase pointer chains anchored in the CVT---that were written by my quondam colleague Daniel B. Davis more than 40 (sic) years ago.
PL:/I is still indeed a very much better and more perspicuous vehicle for this sort of thing than REXX. --jg On 9/13/12, Elardus Engelbrecht <elardus.engelbre...@sita.co.za> wrote: > Beesley, Paul wrote: > >>You can do it with REXX.
