Does not seem to mention that this tool is only available from IBM. It is written such that it looks like something available to the average user. The PDSE HFS Analysis Tool (PHATOOL; also know as PDSE inspection tool PIT)) is a service aid that operates as an application program. It can be used to check the integrity of the directory structure and to display the allocation of data set pages within a PDSE. See "PDSE and HFS Analysis Tool (PHATOOL)" on page 306 for more information. Perhaps an addendum is needed for the Redbook?
