The conversion factor is always the Su/sec of the full speed 1-way divided by the su/sec of the sub-cap 1-way. The value in the SMF records is an integer which is this number multiplied by 256. So a z10- O02 with 2 zIIPs for example would be the su/sec of an z01 divided by the su/sec of an O01. This is 40100.251/9882.6436 = 4.0576441. The integer in the SMF record is 1039 for this example. This means that the zIIP is assumed to be 4.0576441 faster than CP. This factor will be the same for all Oxx models regardless of the number of CPs or zIIPs or zAAPs. Note that 4.0576441 * 256 = 1038.757 which is rounded to 1039. 1039/256 = 4.0585938

Subject: How can we get the normalization factors R723NFFI / R723NFFS /
SMF70NRM numbers out of RMF?

Hi,

How (or where) can I find in RMF the normalization factors for specialty
engines (zIIP, zAAP) [R723NFFI (zAAPs) or R723NFFS (zIIPs)] against
kneecapped GP processors?
Or the SMF70NRM value from TYPE70?

Products such as MICS or MXG will do this conversion for you, but I don't
have them in my shop. Omegamon neither.
