Ron, Now I understand. Here are my suggestions:
Add SRBTIMER to each SRB to prevent uncontrolled loops to begin with. Your recovery routine can then capture registers and other critical information. Add PTRACE entries at critical code points, like maybe at start of SRB logic so you can locate key parameters and control blocks.
