That is exactly what I did; however, I cannot get IDCAMS to accept my control
statements.

I have used DELETE, FILE(DDx), VVR, NVR, NOSCRATCH, and CATALOG(catname) in
various configurations but none pass IDCAMS error checking. I was hoping that
someone had done this and had an example.

Thanks,    .........Larry

Subject: Re: Delete Catalogs from VVCR

Define the necessary ucat name temporarily . No entries or names are necessary.
Issue the necessary deletes and then delete the temporary ucat...
HTH,

<snip>
The error message is:

IDC11367I THE FOLLOWING VVDS REFERENCED CATALOGS WERE NOT ENCOUNTERED:

I agree that the entries do no harm. However, if there is a reason to cause a
return code > 0 then there should be a method to correct it.

And the error msg is? Do you have the required authority?
This is where T-Rexx (Dinosoft) or CR+ come in handy.

I have also found that there is no benefit in being anal about these actually
harmless entries.
