Hi Seymour, I'm the SMS people and I'm not getting how can I change gdg dinamic alocation??? We say to all teams to define DASD GDGs as SCRATCH/NOEMPTY and TAPE GDGs as NOSCRATCH/NOEMPTY to avoid having gdgs rolled-off (more versions than gdglimit).
The only way in SMS that could have something related to this is on MGMTCLAS: GDG Management Attributes # GDG Elements on Primary : 1 Rolled-off GDS Action . . : And this is for gdg mgmt, not gdg definition. I'll do some more tests with db2 team, creating gdg versions to force gdg roll-in and check how these new and old versions become on icf catalog and on our tape mgmt. If all get fine, well ok. Many thx, Antonio CEcilio.
