One system will update, the other will be read only for the duration. After the update, LLA refresh will be required on *all* sharing LPARS to pick up the changes,
I should note that this is fairly straightforward. As Mark said, all PDSESHARING(EXTENDED) must be specified on all involved systems. There is not a lot of materiel involved.
