You may be right. But if use a storage class with Guaranteed Space = NO, only the 1st volume extent is ever allocated, and I get abend D37 when it fills up, even if I use a DATACLAS with Dynamic Volume Count = 5 and Space Constraint Relief = YES. Go figure ... How can I have extents (apart from the first) be allocated only when they are actually used, and preferably on different volumes ? This was the original question in the thread.
