Hi Jake, Is this volume online to another lpar? Perhaps its vtoc was extended or clipped or the volume was re-initialized from the other lpar? I have seen the obtain error in these circumstances. You could vary off/on from the lpar where you are seeing the obtain error or you can run ickdsf refvtoc.
