It's not "my problem" but I have a customer that is running into problems
with the subject program. It's one of those classic situations: the exact
reason they are even running the program is lost in the mists of antiquity.
It apparently got introduced as part of a VSE to MVS conversion over 20
years ago. It is some sort of "pre-linker" used with a number of PL/I, COBOL
and Assembler programs.

It is blowing up now under z/OS V1R13 and it's holding up the customer's
conversion.

I guess the link runs to 0 even if you omit the pre-link, but you know how
mainframers are: they don't want to just put the re-linked programs into
production and see what happens. <g>

Can any of the august minds in IBMMAIN-land shed any light on CZX2PTRT?

The customer thanks you.
