Ok, this exclude any possibility of bad tapes. I always start at the begining to exclude all possibilities. I think (after reading all other's answers) you can do this: Create/modify a dataset on EVERY volume to be dumped which change every day (say containing date+time). This will ensure that at least ONE dataset (containing changed datasets) per label to be written on your tapes. HTH!
