Oops. Sorry. VSAMANAL and VSAMANDX on CBT Tape File 035 have to
be AMODE 24. When I looked at their origins (on File 294 and File 172)
I saw that they pre-date XA. So they are AMODE 24. When I tried
VSAMANAL as AMODE 31 I got an abend 30E. When I tried it as AMODE 24,
it worked. So File 035 has to be changed again, on the Updates page of
www.cbttape.org.
As an aside to this, I've updated my HELP CBT Tape file (CBT Tape
File 874) with a HELP member for VSAMANAL. I know that Dave Cartwright
fixed VSAMANAL for 3380s and 3390s, so I have updated the 3330 and 3350
references in the HELP member to 3380 and 3390. All of these changes
are being made to the Updates page of www.cbttape.org.
I believe the in-context help for VSAMANAL (when you press PF-1)
still refers to 3330s and 3350s. Fixing that is a bit more involved,
but it shouldn't be hard. I just have to get around to it. Meanwhile,
please know that the program works with 3380s and 3390s, as fixed by
Dave Cartwright.
