Had your original post said "Is there a way in APPLY CHECK GROUP or APPLY CHECK GROUPEXTEND to see a list of the SYSMODS that will be selected via GROUP or GROUPEXTEND respectively" .... I probably would have figured out what you were asking quicker. But the answer is the same. You would have to run two apply checks and compare output. The output does show a pre that was pulled in, but there is no way to know from that output if it was pulled in because you selected it manually, or it came from GROUP / GROUPEXTEND.
