Hi, In the beginning of December we upgraded to z/OS 1.13 and CA-DISK v12.5. Since then we’ve seen increased CPU and elapsed time in our CA-DISK incremental backup job. We tracked the reason for the increase to the backup of ZFS datasets. It looks like these datasets are being backed up every day, even though they do not change. The root ZFS is 47265 tracks, and there are several other large ZFS datasets for websphere and z/OSMF.
We tested this on one specific ZFS, and ran to backup jobs one after the other. The dataset was backed up both times. Our previous version were z/OS 1.11 and CA-DISK v12. Has anyone seen such behavior? Does anyone know what can be causing this?
