Linda:
Back in the 80's (early if I remember correctly. I was at a Christmas
party in an office and I noticed a VM logo on on of the screens.
I tried logging on as IBMCE to VM and used the vanilla password that
comes with VM IPO. It worked so everyone don't go patting themselves
on the back.

That is very sad. Poor fellow.
For others, in other circumstances, sometimes things are well
hidden even though they appear to be in plain sight. One
particular system that I often had to log on to, I had written the
password on a stickie posted to the front edge of my monitor. Or
so folks thought. ;). And it really was the password - or would be
with the secret offsets applied. That formula was not posted or
shared anywhere, of course.
