Steve,

That's the first place I looked.  If any one have LISTCATS of the following
type of VSAM dsns I would greatly appreciate it:

ESDS, VRRDS & RRDS.

I looked at the LISTCAT of the ESDS however it doesn't indicate what type of
VSAM file it is in the ATTRIBUTES.  Perhaps

Willie,  this might be a foolish way to find what I need, but I always search
our production JCL library before I do anything.  All but a handful of our VSAM
datasets have allocation JCL in there somewhere.  On the odd, one off clusters,
that takes more digging.

Is there a wayto differentiate or knowing what type of VSAM file it is. I had
a problem earlier trying to RECATALOG the cluster (the dsn was restored from a
physical DFDSS backup) and finally I was able to do so because I used parm
NONINDEXED. Besides trial and error is there a way of doing this?

I checked the LISTCAT however I didn't seeanything. Any suggestions?

Thanks
