Subject: SMF LOGGER Questions
Sent by: IBM Mainframe Discussion List <[email protected]>

We have migrated our test LPAR SMF data to DASD-ONLY logstreams. This is
working as described however, I am attempting to force the logstreams to a
different storage group via the SMS parms in the logstream definition. I
do not see any of the ACS routine messages that are usually displayed when
a "dataset" is allocated. Does the logger utility utilize the IXGLOGR
address space for the actual allocation?

Thanks!

Garry
