The TN3270 client usually has a keyboard mapping function. Using that you should be able to map a pc keyboard function like ctrl+F1 to the 3270 key PA1. The IBM 327X terminals has a key on the keyboard named PA1. I don't remember what that meant originally. Of course PCs never had that key and so the emulators had to give the user the ability to program the keyboard map.
