JES2 exit 28 is an "end of job" exit. I don't see an equivalent for JES3, but I'm ignorant of JES3. The OP seems, like us, to be concerned about CPU utilization. So something like RMDS or JMR (CA) or maybe SyzSPOOL/z ( http://www.syzygyinc.com/SyzSpool.htm) might be unacceptable. SyzSPOOL/z might the most cost effective. The web site says US $5,000 per physical box (no MSUs, no MIPS, no per image). No, I'm not a shill or a even a customer. I have spoken with Brian Westerman, who works for them, and he seemed like an OK guy. He lurks here sometimes.
