And I believe its Stream I/O supports only CKD data sets whereas the UNIX
interpreted function package supports only zFS (HFS) and lacks SIGNAL ON
NOTREADY and is unavailable under TSO and IRXJCL.

Will its objects run under z/OS UNIX (perhaps relinked into program objects)?

SIGL and SOURCELINE() are useful for implementing error handlers.
