I run a small shop, getting smaller. On the way to a nest of mothballs. I came here to school in 76, was hired in 81. DYL260 and UCC-1 were here then. We bought UCC-7, but installed CA-7. Somewhere in there, we had an audit exception for our homegrown, Wylbur Exec based change control, so we implemented Endevor. I don't remember if CA owned it then, or acquired later. We had APAS and INSIGHT running with Adabas before CA acquired them (and later discontinued support when the support person (I think Jean Snow) retired) AF/Oper and Omegamon got expensive, CA was already here, so we implemented CA-OPS and CA-SYSVIEW.
Our last license (a 4 year contract) expired June 30, but LMP was giving me about 5 days grace. I IPL'd without any except APAS/INSIGHT on July 3rd. Went on scheduled vacation. Monday, I figured the few steps needed to safely remove APAS/INSIGHT and keep Adabas up. Just did an IPL of my production LPAR with no CA in LPA, Linklist or APF. Didn't start CAS9 Sad, but true.
