Or once you find out how much space the SMPPTS needs, you could potentially migrate 1 or more large datasets to free up space temporarily. Then restore the SMPPTS, accept the maintenance you can (with purge to delete the accepted PTFs from the PTS), compress then free space in the PTS to downsize it. That might free up enough space to restore the other datasets you just migrated.
