I think the use of links covers a lot of sins. Don't post the whole job description here complete with why Amalgamated Widgets is a great place to work; post a one-sentence job description and a link.
Same for products. If I were to start selling a mainframe product then I think it would be wrong to post an "advertisement" here, but not wrong to post a very brief, non-salesy "announcement," with a link to my Web site. Same if someone asks "does anyone know of an economical job scheduler for z/OS?" It's okay to post the name of your product and a link, but not a full-blown advertisement. One guy's opinion. I'd say that a boilerplate post with position details, contact information and links, but no advertising, should be fine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
