Technology meets politics and taxation. At the Zowe project our intent was to
use Zowe as a point of collaboration to develop in the open, create standard
interfaces across products, and begin to breakdown the silos proprietary
software inherently has. The goal of the participants is to generate revenue
but the road is through open co-opetition. Being transparent about a project’s
goals is necessary. It helps everyone understand the playing field.
