Other than the fine patina of age, there's nothing special about B&T;
EXCP will work as well for ESCON and FICON.
There are many products, both from IBM and from 3rd party vendors,
that will take output from SPOOL and write it to a printer using TCP.
There are also products that will transform the output to, e.g., PDF,
and e-mail it. Is there a reason that you need your own writer instead
of using an off the shelf product?
