Hi, Yesterday I ran HSEND AUDIT DSCTL(BACKUP) NOFIX which reported a number of errors, including quite a few ERR 39's For example, I see repeated ERR 39's for a gdg that doesn't appear in ispf 3.4 (only the base...so its likely been gone for a long time)
ERR 39 DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00 IS MISSING DFHSM.BACK.T492911.DBP.LP.J0156 and a couple ERR 39 DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00 IS MISSING Since there are no existing gdgs, just the base (as per ispf 3.4) I issued an hsend bdelete DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00 all and HSEND FIXCDS C 'DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00' DELETE yet now a subsequent AUDIT DSCTL(BACKUP) NOFIX still shows a number of entries for this .WEK.G0011V00 file: ERR 39 DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00 IS MISSING ERR 39 DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00 IS MISSING ERR 39 DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00 IS MISSING ERR 36 BACKUP VERSION ENTRY CONTAINS 00000, SHOULD CONTAIN 001 FIXCDS B DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00 VERIFY(X'00000088' X ERR 35 MCB VERSION FIELD FOR DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00 FIXCDS B DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00 VERIFY(X'00000030' X Since I have quite a few of these err 39s for files that I don't wish to amend the backup version etc...just remove them as the files don't even exist.....what would be the next step to whacking this DBP.LP.F.IN6PD003.TISECPV.P06.WEK.G0011V00 and other ERR 39 files that I want removed from the audit results? The HSM Storage Admin guide has a writeup for Err 39, but I believe that's only valid for datasets that exist and you want to actually repair the B and C records..........I want those entries for the non-existing datasets gone for good. btw..it appears running the audit with fix just has most of these come back as repeat offenders in the next audit.
