Yes. Try this:
(1) ISMF option 6, ('Storage Group')
Select option 1 ('List')
Enter 'DELETE' as a line operator to the left of the storage group name
(2) ISMF option 7 ('Automatic Class Selection')
Select option 3 ('Validate') <= assumes the current ACS routines have
already been translated (ISMF option 7;2)
Note active SCDS name
(3) Issue MVS console command 'SETSMS SCDS(active SCDS name)'
Verify all members of the SMSplex have been updated with MVS console
command 'D SMS'

Is the Storage Group still in the Storage Group List ?
If yes, I believe you can delete it with DELETE in the line operator column.
