First, I know this is not a z/OS question. But, I'm drawing a blank on how to
signup and post on the IBM-TCP-L forum.

Working on a z/OS 2.4 install. Setting up CSSMTP. We specify ExtWrtName CSSMTP.
Our JES2 parameters specify DESTDEF NODENAME=REQUIRED, and therefore we coded a
DESTID(CSSMTP) DEST=Nx, assigned to the local system's node id. However, all
non-held sysout is being picked up by CSSMTP, even though the sysout did not
use the writer name of CSSMTP.

If we code DESTDEF NODENAME=OPTIONAL and do not code a DESTID of CSSMTP, CSSMTP
only picks up sysout that was created with a name of CSSMTP. I'm new tothis
company, and I don't know why DESTDEF NODENAME=REQUIRED has been coded. Is this
working as designed?
