If you still have the CDS's at the remote site you should be able to issue LIST DSN MCDS SEL(VOL(123456)) ODS(some.dsn) I would expect this to list all the current active data sets on the tape.
Then at the main site you would want to catalog all these data sets. Then ADDVOL the migration volume with the appropriate device type then run the AUDIT MEDIACONTROLS against the tape as mentioned previously. This should build all the necessary CDS records to be able to RECALL data sets or RECYCLE the data to the new library.
