Hi all! Does anyone know of shops that use user-written condition handlers in their COBOL applications? I mean the type that are registered with CEEHDLR or with the run-time option USRHDLR. If so, we at IBM would like to know what the condition handlers do...Would customers rely on condition handlers to handle the condition and resume the application? Or would customers register condition handler for information collection instead?
Over the years I have explained to hundreds of COBOL programmers how to use them at SHARE and Guide, but I really don't know if anyone actually does!
