One recurring horror show was APAR fixes in EWS for the Communications

The biggest change in the z/OS family tree was the advent of SMP. Now,
those familiar with SMP/E might legitimately say that the original SMP
was an abomination[1],  but it was much better than the manual
tracking that preceded it.
