I asked for NVSMATTR,DEVTYP, DSCBTTR and VOLSER for a PDSE version 1. R15 was 0 after the call to IGGCSI. The DEVTYP, DSCBTTR and VOLSER were fine. I was expecting NVSMATTR to have a value of 'L' for a PDSE but I got 'Q'. This isn't documented. I was hoping to identify a PDSE (ve or v2) before doing an allocation but ...
