I don't consider myself a "systems programmer" any longer... I assume the only safe way to do this is with an IPL. I don't know if changing this dynamically is an option. There will be no issue with SCRT. SYSNAME is in both the SMF 70 and SMF 89 records that SCRT processes. SCRT can handle changing that during the month without an issue.
