Lizette,

You can use the symbol translator utility, EZACFSM1, to translate the
symbols before the JCL execution and submit the job via INTRDR. Here is an
example.

//STEP0100 EXEC PGM=EZACFSM1
//SYSOUT   DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSIN    DD DATA,DLM=@@
//USERIDA  JOB (,ACCTINFO),
//             CLASS=A,
//             MSGCLASS=Y,
//             MSGLEVEL=(1,1),
//             NOTIFY=&SYSUID
//*
//STEP0100 EXEC PGM=IEFBR14
//FILE01   DD DSN=&SYSUID..D&LYYMMDD..T&LHHMMSS,
//            DISP=(NEW,CATLG,DELETE),
//            UNIT=SYSDA,
//            SPACE=(CYL,(10,10),RLSE),
//            DCB=(LRECL=80,RECFM=FB,BLKSIZE=27920)
@@

Once you have verified the symbols are translated correctly you can submit
the job via INTRDR by changing the following statement

//SYSOUT   DD SYSOUT=*

to

//SYSOUT   DD SYSOUT=(*,INTRDR),RECFM=FB

Here are the list of dynamic system symbols that you can use

Subject: JCL statements and symbolics - Dates
Sent by: IBM Mainframe Discussion List <[email protected]>

z/OS V1.12

I have a need to have JCL (Not STC) coded with date and possibly time. The
requirement is to NOT use a GDG

So is it possible to code

//DD1  DD DSN= HLQ.D&Date..T&Time..LLQ

Are there symbolics in the z/OS V1.12 system that is available to the
batch
JCL during conversion?

I am not looking to create a REXX or CLIST to submit the job to put in the
date and time. Just basic JCL process.

I have been reading the JCL Reference it seems that only STC JCL has this
functions.  Not Batch JCL

Thanks for any commentary
