I see that there is WRITE SF RC=4 which means that a WRITE SZ has to be issued
(where the system supplies the record so there is zero application logic to
build it) and then the original WRITE SF must be reissued.

WRITE SF again

?
(1) Is this still required? Or is this 30 year old doc that hasn't been
updated?
(2) Is there a DCB option to do this automatically?
While I have used BPAM/BSAM in the past, it was never variable length. So this
is something new to me.
