SC31-5801-00, "Compiler Reference for XL C/C++ V2.4.1 for z/OS V2.4". Note the 2.4.1. The compiler seems to have two versions, traditional (pre-2.4.1) and "Open" (2.4.1 and presumably later). The changes are significant, including defaults, which is.odd and painful and quite possibly dangerous. Surprising.
