There are probably many players in this game.  At least one that
recognizes the URL and one which formats the display.  They
may not be reading the sane rule book.

You might learn more if your client shows you "Raw Source".  But that
can lie -- some clients separate message files for indexing/searching
(don't search binary attachments for text strings.)  quoted-printable,
format=flowed, and multipart-mixed add chaos.  Then they guess at
reconstructing the source.
