There are several on the CBTTAPE. The one I like the most is DVOL (file296), but there is also DSPACE on file 633 and the one on file 710 is also quite nice. There are literally like a dozen (probably more) that you can use as a sample.
In the end, the one you write will likely be the best for you to use, but the others will show you how it's done.
