Analogous to the recommendation to never use the IBMUSER RACF profile, did
you ever create new users/accounts on the HMC?  If so, are any of them of
the ACSADMIN type?  An account of this type can reset a different account's
password.

Alternately, did you create the recommended backup of the HMC configuration
immediately after installation?  If so, it might be possible to restore the
ACSADMIN account from that.

Have you asked IBM if they have a "death in the family" recovery procedure?
