This may help

Discord has a dedicated Accessibility tab under User Settings > App Settings > 
Accessibility. Here, you can adjust various settings such as:

Text-to-Speech Settings: Customize the speed and volume of text-to-speech
High Contrast Settings: Improve visibility by increasing contrast
Saturation Slider: Adjust the intensity of colors to reduce strain

Accessibility.  My eyesight is terrible and I rely heavily on speech output.  
But too many Discord pages present text as images which does not work with 
macOS text-to-speech facility.
