I like the idea of not having to hit a <Reset> key, not because of that one keystroke but because I move between accounts/machines/emulators and I don’t always know where the Reset key is.
I agree it should not assume or simply put my keystrokes into the next available field. Would it be enough to simply ding the audible bell to let me know I was not successfully typing. Then I set the cursor to where I want.
