Tried to subscribe to the CICS mailing list but never got an acknowledgement so hopefully there are some folks in this list who might know CICS.
We have an application that currently talks to a CICS region using SNA Enterprise Connect. The CICS application treats the data as a CICS terminal. We are moving away from that architecture and want to be able to send messages over IP to the CICS region, some of which are external. CICS Sockets or CICS Sockets Doman appear to be the answer but apart from trying to read the manuals, it's hard to find examples on how to do this? Are there rolls on this list who might be able to provide some advice?
